My attempts to write...

There I was, sitting at the computer, staring at the empty Word page, trying to write something. After such a long break, if felt weird and unnatural. Nothing like what I imagined it to be. I didn't know how to begin, where the story was taking place or what the names of the characters were. I'd often feel the urge to write, but as soon as I sat down and opened the file, I felt exhausted so I would end up writing nothing or just a few lines and wouldn't open it again for weeks. For the rest of that year I only wrote 6 pages.

Why does writing have to be that hard?
